American eagle will receive artificial beak

An American eagle named Bela will receive next month an artificial nozzle to help it survive, the nozzle is being created by a team of volunteers in Idaho in the United States . According to AP, the bird was shot several years ago and can no longer hunt for food.

Parts of the existing nozzle were scanned and the information was entered into a computer, to create the bionic beak as accurately as possible. “One side is much more damaged than the other,” explained Jane.

The nozzle made of nylon, light and durable, will be glued to the eagle. The team decided not to screw the material because the region is very close to brain and eyes of Bela.
