USA 1 x 0 Brazil
In my entirely life I’ve never seen a team play as good as Brazil soccer team played today and even then they lost the game.
United States strategy worked pretty well and they got the second consecutive gold medal in women soccer. In the two occasions they beat Brazil in the extra time.
Brazil soccer team is an example of dedication and hard work for all of us Brazilian people. I’m sure they played with their heart to win the game and bring the gold medal home.
Marta, Cristiane and Barbara wore the ones that suffer the most. Even before the game end they started to cry because they knew that they lost a very good chance to make history.
In soccer what matters is the one who score and not the one who play better. Lesson very hard to learn.
I know that many people doesn’t believe in bible nor in God, however I got this interesting text below from the bible.
This text explain why we can’t never thought we already win before the end.
Eclesiastes 9:11
I have seen something else under the sun:
The race is not to the swift
or the battle to the strong,
nor does food come to the wise
or wealth to the brilliant
or favor to the learned;
but time and chance happen to them all.

I was very surprised to see the US win this game.
The Eclesiastes 9:11 quote reminds me of the 1980’s Olympics when the amateur US hockey team beat the mighty Russians.

It was a really good game and I’m actually surprised the US won that. A pretty good evenly matched game and Brazil #7 sure did take a beating toward the end too…

This is a wonderful post. I have seen too many times where teams (or individual athletes) think they have a victory all wrapped up and wind up losing because of overconfidence or arrogance! I have been enjoying your blog quite a bite over the past week or so. I wanted to extend and invitation to participate in the weekly blog carnival that I host on Athletic Alley! If you follow the backlink, you will see the blog carnival in the right hand column. It could definitely provide more exposure for your site and the sport (or sports) you love. I love baseball and am an Atlanta Braves fan. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like they will be playing in October. There is always next year!

I can’t tell what you are really trying to say. are you a sore loser? the USA lost their best goal scorer in a previous game, yet still played hard. Marta was awesome but missed her chances. gee, that happens, you know?
