UFC® 84 fight card brings 5 Brazilian fighters trying to put their names between the biggest fighters of the World. If they take Anderson Silva as an role model I’m sure they all are going to win.
BJ Penn “The Prodigy” Vs. Sean Sherk “Muscle Shark”
The main fight of UFC® 84 brings two of the best fighters in the lightweight division. BJ Penn, who won the title against Joe Stevenson in UFC® 80, is going to defend his title against Sean Shark who won the title at UFC® 73 and because positive testing for Nandrolone the title was taken away from him. UFC® President Dan White said that Sherk has passed a lie detector test that he did not knowingly take steroids.
Wanderlei Silva “The axe murderer” Vs. Keith Jardine “The Dean of Mean”
This match is going to be the 41st fight that Wanderlei Silva participate as a professional fighter. In his last fight debuting at UFC® 79 Nemesis against Chuck Lidell the luck wasn’t with him and he didn’t hit Chuck enough to win the match. Now UFC® is giving him a more difficult fight, he’s going to fight Keith Jardine the guy who beat up Chuck at UFC® 76 Knock Out.
Tito Ortiz “Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Vs.
Lyoto Machida
With a perfect defense Machida has never lost a single fight as a MMA professional and he’s going to this fight to prove he’s ready to go to the title. On the other hand, Tito Ortiz has to prove why he held the title for almost 3 years before lost to Randy couture in 2003 at UFC® 44.
The other fights of the night that Brazilian fighters are competing :
Wilson Gouveia Vs. Goran Reljic
The last time Wilson lost a fight was in 2006 for Kaith Jardine at The Ultimate Fighter® 3 Finale, after that he won 4 straight fights in a row and now he’s going to take Goran Reljic who has never lost as a professional MMA fighter.
Thiago Silva Vs.
Antonio Mendes “Samuray”
Thiago Silva, a black belt Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, is another fighter that has never felt the taste of lose a fight as a professional MMA fighter, at UFC® 84 he is going to fight Antonio Mendes a Thai Boxer and Vale Tudo expert. Both of them are very good strikers, most of their wins ended with a KO or TKO.
