Loading ...Update » I just received an email from Entrecard crew saying “we’ll settle with a warning” and they returned my credits back to my account.
Two days ago I realized that it was missing plenty of credits from my account, after wonder a while what have had cause that I went to transactions page to check if I had sent someone credits by mistake and then I found a message saying “SPAMMING - STOP OR YOU’LL BE REMOVED” and 4,000 was took away from my account.
Entrecard is being a very important source of traffic to my blog lately however Entrecard crew hurt me really bad.

Today I noticed something really weird in my account. I’m short 4,000 EC Credits.
At first I thought I had send someone the credits by mistake, however when I went to transactions
I realized what have had happened to my account, the message “SPAMMING -STOP OR YOU’LL BE REMOVED”.
To tell you the truth I have no idea why you guys think I’m spamming.
I created a contest to giveaway 10,000 EC credits to the blog which brings more traffic to my blog. Then I sent
some messages to at most 100 people, after 2 people asked me to stop sending messages I stop and that’s it.
And the problem is I didn’t even received a message from Entrecard.com saying something like stop sending messages that
looks like a SPAM.
SPAM for me is some blogs I see everyday that has the Entrecard logo in a page that has nothing but the blog or some people that has more than 5 accounts that looks the same and they promote themselves.
This is totally unfair, if you go to your analysis you can see how much time I spend in Entrecard.com. I think I even stay connected
to Entrecard more than to my email.
I’d like to ask you to please consider to give my credits back, because I have to give to the person who wins the contest. I want to
honor that. I don’t want to be short by the end of the contest.
I treat Entrecard as a family where everybody has to help each other. I never used Entrecard as a SPAM tool to promote my blog.

You received about a hundred different complaints over the last few months. Stop spamming people or we’ll close your account, seriously.
The funny part about this story is that I released the contest last week and before this contest I’ve never had sent a message using Entrecard website. It’s impossible the complaints to have happened months ago if I wasn’t even using the service.
Another funny fact is that before May 24th I thought I’ll lose my credits if I drop cards instead of earn credits. So, before this date I didn’t even drop cards using Entrecard.
After I talk to some of my friends that are bloggers they told me that they’ve heard about situations like that involving Entrecard site. I hope this isn’t a strategy to make the user come back to the site and try to get the credits back.
One of my friends even quit Entrecard because the site changed the whole idea of community and started to monetize in every single way.
To tell the truth I didn’t quit Entrecard because I’m having a contest running and I have to pay 10,000 Entrecard credits to the winner. If Entrecard and I don’t settle the situation I don’t know if I will continue being a member of the community after the end of the contest. The deadline of the contest is the end of July.

That is s ahame. Many people use the PM system the same way. I hate to think EC is just grabbing credits. I have read a lot of bad posts lately.
I will pray for a resolution of this that is fair.

After I sent two emails to Entrecard crew We settle the situation and they returned my credits.

It seems that Entrecard has been receiving a lot of bad press lately. Not just you but from many blogs I am reading a lot of negative information about them; mainly poor management decisions and unprofessional behavior.

That is often what happens when a site like Entrecard because big. They start over regulating. I noticed that they started selling credits. This is a good sign that they will start adding more and more rules and limit what we can do.
I loved Stumble Upon and used it everyday since they started. All of a sudden, they became money hungry and started limited everything. I got banned for promoting my own sites on Stumble Upon. I see the same kind of stuff happening to Entrecard as they grow.
Yours is the third or fourth post I read in the last three days about problems with Entrecard. Hope everything works out for the future.

Really shame..my account was deleted w/o any warning and after reading this post, I now know that entrecard really sucks..
