The intention of this contest is to help new bloggers increase the traffic in their blogs. I’m very thankful to have found Entrecard. Once I understood how Entrecard worked and started taking it seriously, the traffic in my blog went skyrocket.

I see Entrecard as a family where everyone should help each other. Of course there are a lot of people who’s only intention is to gain credits and don’t even bother to check if your blog is consistent and has good content.

Main Event

Another big night for Brazilian fighters at UFC®. In the main event of the night Thiago Alves beated up Matt Hughes by a lot, with a flying knee Thiago knocked down the former champion.
“He’s a good fighter, he got me, no doubt about it,” said Hughes.
Thiago Alves said “I want to apologize for not making weight. I had a sprained ankle a few days before the fight and wasn’t able to train.”

Illegal moves

Thales Leite performed a very good presentation in his fight. The down side of the fight was that Nate Marquarst lost 2 points because illegal hits. The first time he hit Leite with his knee while Thales without defense was knelling and the second time Nate hit the back of Leites’ head after the referee had gave him a warning. Thales won by Split Decision.

Easy fight vs complaint

Fabricio Verdum’s fight was very easy against Brandon Vera. Although Vera started the fight very aggressively, Fabricio mounted him and finished the fight in the first round. Vera complained a lot because he said he was OK when the referee stopped the fight.

UFC® 86 JACKSON vs GRIFFIN

In the main event of UFC 86, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will defend his title of Light Heavyweight Championship against Forrest Griffin. The event will take place in Mandalay Bay Events Center, Nevada on July 5th.

On the second U.S. trip game Brazil didn’t have the same performance it did in the first game against Canada in Seattle, when Brazil scored 3 times against 2 of Canada.

That is the first time in history that Brazil lost a soccer match to Venezuela. They play against each other 18 times and Venezuela has scored only 4 times before this game. The game took place at Gillette Stadium (House of Patriots) in Boston.

The Brazilian players didn’t show the same performance as usual and Venezuela dominates the match. The first goal of the game was scored by Maldonado at 5 minutes in the first half. The second goal of Venezuela came after an error of fullback Henrique, Vargas moved through, passed Luisão and kicked in the left corner not giving any chance to Doni.

The Brazilian players were booed the whole time during the game, the fans were very disappointed and some of them left the stadium before the game ended.

The delegation will come to Brazil this Sunday. After a period of rest, the players will present on Tuesday for training at Granja Comary, in Teresopolis.

Brazil returns to the field on June 15, to face Paraguay - leader of the South American qualifies - in Asunción. Three days later, the team will face its eternal opponent, Argentina in Belo Horizonte.

Rio de Janeiro is one of the four finalists cities to host the 2016 Olympic Games, the other cities are Chicago, Tokyo and Madrid. Fortunately this week I wrote an interesting article about Rio de Janeiro plus I added a video about the wonderful city.

The last step to choose the host city for the games is when the panel of IOC (International Olympic Committee) experts will visit the cities to know the proposed sites and talk with the government leader about all the organization of the event.

Because Rio de Janeiro hosted the 2007 Pan American Games the government thinks it will be easier to win the nomination to host the Olympic Games. If that happen Rio de Janeiro would be the first South American city to get the Olympic Games since the game was created. The first of the IOC’s Olympic Games were the 1896 Summer Olympics, held in Athens, Greece.

The final choice for will be made by secret ballot at the IOC Session in Copenhagen on October 2, 2009.

Central Park is one of the best places to visit in New York City. Last Sunday, my wife and I went there with a couple of friends to hang out and enjoy the day. The park is amazing, there were a lot of people laying in sun, playing sports, performing shows and much more.

Right before we went home, we were happy to see a group of capoeira performing a very nice show right in the middle of the park. A good number of people gathered around the circle and everyone seemed to really enjoy it the demonstration of the brazilian art, specially me. I took advantage of the moment and shot a video of the Capoeira group. The group is called Grupo Capoeira Brasil and they’re located at New York City. Boneco is the Master (Instructor) of the group and Caxias the counter-master.

Capoeira is a blend of martial art, game, and dance originated in Brazi during the 16th century, it was created and developed by native Indians in Brazil and the slaves.
