Pregnant Brazilian is attacked by Neonazi in Switzerland

The Brazilian Paula Oliveira, 26 years, was attacked by three bald white men on the night of Monday (9) in Dubendorf,  city close to Zurich. Three months old pregnant with twins she just lost children and suffered cuts in all parts of the body.

According  to her father, she had just finished left the train station when she was attacked by three men, apparently neonazi and tortured.

“They punched, kicked and cut her whole body and made up the acronym SVP in her legs,” said Paulo Oliveira, the father of the victim by telephone, from Zurich.  “They had swastikas on their head,” he informed.

Paulo Oliveira, who is parliamentary secretary, was warned by her, by phone, about what happened in the early hours of Tuesday (10), Brasilia time. Then he told the federal deputy Roberto Magalhães (DEM-PE), for whom he works, and also to Senator Marco Maciel (DEM-PE) and took the first flight to Zurich, together with the mother of Paula, Geni.

This Wednesday (10), Paula went back to the University Hospital of Zurich.  “She was called to take antiviral vaccines.  Because she was injured by sharp objects, the knifes could be contaminated with hepatitis or other disease, ” said the father.

The father of the victim also told that the police has not talked to the victim to get more details of the attack. “They seemed to show no interest in the case. Apparently they are working without giving us information,” he said. “  “But now the priority is taking care of my daughter. She is in a state of shock,” he added.

The ironic thing is she would come to Brazil to visit her family and show she was pregnant according to the news. Maybe if she travelled some days earlier she wouldn’t suffer all this… But “if” is a thing we can’t control!

This is simply horrible.I would like to believe in the goodness of people. After reading this it sets me back.We are all human beings and should be treated how we ourselves would want to be treated. This behavior should be dealt with immediately.I feel a great compassion for the victim.

Jac mentioned a crucial point: according to the police, the Brazilian lawyer living in Switzerland wasn’t pregnant besides her family denies that. And today (2.18) the Justice sued her alleging Paula created the aggression story. She’s not allowed to leave the country and her father is with her there. BBC says she could be sentenced to community service or psychological treatment (assuming she created everything because of supposed mental problems). She left the hospital with her father yesterday (2.17). Meanwhile, police keeps investigating the aggression. To be continued…

That’s a pity, even though she is not pregnant but men shall never treat women this way, God bless her to be safe!
