Since not everyone has money to buy video games, the best option today is to play online games. I have no idea how many hours I’ve spent playing online games myself. There are many flash games that are much better than games from consoles like Xbox or Playstation.

Today I will be interviewing Daniel McNeely, the CEO of Armor Games. Armor Games is one of the world’s leading Flash Games Portal. Besides flash games, Armor Games develop games to iphone and other mobile platforms.

Could you please introduce yourself and tell us about your background and hobbies?

My name is Daniel McNeely. I attended Biola University and have a degree in Marketing and a Minor in Bible. My hobbies include running, cycling, scuba diving, rock climbing, sky diving and video games.

Why did you decide to invest in the online gaming niche and create Armor Games?

I always loved gaming and it wasn’t until I got a job in online marketing that I realized you could make money from online advertising. I then combined the two and launched ‘Games of Gondor’ which was the precursor to ArmorGames.

How did you take Armor Games to the next level (going from publishing games from other portals to start sponsoring games)?

I learned in marketing that ‘Content is King’ and I wanted to be more than just another portal so I started partnering with developers to make unique games for our site.

How many people work for Armor Games ( In-house and freelance)? Do you plan on expanding the company?

We have 10 full time employees and another 30 developers we work with as free lance.

Is Armor Games planning on caring games for PC, mobile phones or consoles(xbox, playstation or Wii)?

Yes, we already have several releases on the iPhone and we plan to continue to expand this during 2012.

Have you thought about globalizing Armor Games in creating more websites or partnering with other portals?

Yes, but we haven’t had the man power or resources to localize our games to other countries yet.

Are you willing to offer your company to investors? If so, where would the money be best used?

Not yet, I’d prefer to keep the company private and decide how to grow instead of someone else telling us what to do.

How do you manage the massive traffic received by Armor Games? What time of the year Armor Games gets more traffic?

We have close to 20 servers that run our site and we have a full team of people dedicated to making sure ArmorGames stays live.

What features do you want to see in a game to consider it successful? Can you list some of the best games you’ve ever played?

Some of my favorite games include The Last Stand, Elephant Quest, Kingdom Rush, Siege Hero, Flight, Crush the Castle, Armor Mayhem and Shift.

Since a lot of people don’t have money to spend on video games, do you think this can be an advantage to online games?

Yes, people always enjoy free games.

Recently Adobe announced that they’ll stop working in a solution for iPhone and IPad since Apple don’t have the intention to support Flash. Do you think this can make people stop developing to Flash and develop exclusively to iOS?

Yes, we will plan accordingly and will adopt whatever platform we need to stay at the front of online gaming.

PS: There are moments in life that a single word can make a huge difference in someone’s life.

Two Brazilians unlocked the iPhone 3G from Apple four days after its launch in over 20 countries. Breno Macmasi and Paulo Stool were the first in the world to achieve that.

After unlock the phone the user has the ability to use the phone to call and other resources offered, without the need for a carrier authorized by Apple.

To unlock the phone, Macmasi and Stool made changes in hardware and software unit. The cellphone was sent to them from friends who live in the United States.

The iPhone 3G will be launched in Brazil in 2008, however depends on approval by Anatel (National Agency of Telecommunications). Meanwhile, the use of the phone is illegal in the country.

The news has generated much controversy because it has been announced as the first method in the world and has supposedly surpassed big names like GeoHot, Zibri and iPhone Dev Team, but we must not forget that they are committed to make available as soon as possible a free tool, tested, safe and who also works with previous models the newly launched 3G.

Remember also that the new model of mobile phone from Apple must get to Brazil soon, perhaps even in time for Father’s Day, and that three major carriers have expressed interest in offering it, which would reduce the need to unlock the phone by software or hardware.
