A last-gasp Kaka penalty snatched Brazil a 4-3 victory over a courageous Egypt in an exhilarating Group B opener at Free State Stadium. Dunga’s side carried a two-goal cushion in at the break, but a quick-fire double had the Pharaohs level until the former FIFA World Player’s second goal of the game injury time.

It took Brazil just five minutes to break the deadlock. There appeared to be little danger when Daniel Alves’s dink found Kaka inside a congested penalty area, but the No10 subtly tricked his way past two opponents before casually sliding the ball home.

Egypt responded swiftly, with Mohamed Aboutrika’s right-wing cross being headed in by Mohamed Zidan, but they fell behind again on 12 minutes, when Luis Fabiano’s head guided an Elano free-kick into the bottom corner of the net.

Elano and Juan both came close to doubling A Seleção’s lead, before the latter did just that by heading home the former’s corner in the 37th minute.

Egypt refused to submit to their more illustrious opponents, though, and scored twice in two minutes to restore parity, Mohamed Shawky’s firm, low drive from the edge of the box preceding a 55th-minute strike from Zidan.

Both sides then had their chances, but the game appeared destined for a 3-3 draw. That was until goal-bound Lucio effort was handled on the line by Ahmed Al Muhamadi. The Egypitan defender was sent off, and Kaka coolly passed the ball into the bottom corner of Essam El Hadary’s net to ensure Dunga’s side made a wininng start to the defence of their crown.

FIFA World Player of the Year

According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea from England, had offered $236 million to Milan, Italy, with the intention to buy Kaká. Last week the offering was around at $157 million.

The English club however denied this information. “There was no offer made. I have read many articles about it, but they have said that the player is not for sale. There is no reason to start a conversation about it if there is no intention of the other party in conducting the business,” said Peter Kanyon, manager of Chelsea, in a note published in the same newspaper.

Last week, Chelsea had made an offer of $157 million for Kaka. Milan, meanwhile, was quick to stop the transfer. Vittorio Mentana, director of communications, said in club’s official website that “Kaká is not for sale.”

The alleged offer of $236 million would be more than double the largest transaction already held for the purchase of a soccer player in history: $102 million paid by Real Madrid, Spain to Juventus, Italy, to get mid-field Zidane in 2001.

The main hiring of Milan for next season’s competition season, Ronaldinho was made in Italian club on the afternoon of Thursday. Once in his first interview, he imagined the duo with compatriot Kaka in the field of Milan.

“It will be fun playing with Kaka. Besides being the best player in the world, he is a friend,” said the former player of Barcelona. In 2004 and 2005, Ronaldinho won the award for FIFA best player, which Kaka repeated in the last season.

After signing his new contract, the Brazilian celebrated the transfer. “It’s a special moment of my career. All players dream of playing in Milan,” he said.

About the Olympic Games he said “Brazil has never been Olympic champion, will be important to me. I do not believe that this may delay my entry here”.

Ronaldinho said that the number of your shirt has not been defined yet and guaranteed that he is in good physical condition. He also thanked the fans for the reception.

When asked about the expectation of face Internationale de Milan in the biggest classic, he try to avoid. “I think all the matches are important,” he said. He said the Italian Championship “is the most competitive in the world.”

Ronaldinho put the dispute to the Champions Cup as its main objective. Playing for Barcelona he was continental champion in 2006. In the last Italian Championship, Milan was unable to classify for the tournament.

Satisfied after hiring Ronaldinho, the vice-president Adriano Galliani celebrated. “It’s a dream that takes comes true. The President Berlusconi was ‘in love’ with his soccer skills. He overcame brilliantly medical exams”, spoke.
