Brazil still had not won a game away in this World Cup Qualifies for 2010, plus it didn’t score a goal in the previous two games.

However against Chile the story was different and in style. “A seleção” won by 3 to 0 in the National stadium, with goals from Luis Fabiano (two) and Robinho. Ronaldinho Gaucho also missed a penalty in the first half

Brazil rose from sixth to second place, ahead of Argentina. The two countries have 12 points, but the number of goals of Brazil is better (seven to six). The rise in the table of classification relieves the pressure on the coach Dunga, who was being much criticized.

This was the fourth game of the team led by Dunga against Chile. And it won all four, scoring 16 goals and suffering only one. On Wednesday, the opponent will be Bolivia, in Rio de Janeiro, in Engenhão Stadium at 21h50m. Kleber who received a red card in Santiago, and Gilberto Silva, who received a second yellow card in the tournament, will not play.

Brazil 0 x 2 Paraguay

As if the fiasco Brazil soccer team played in the USA tour exhibition wasn’t enough, they did no better in the match against Paraguay in the World Cup 2010 qualifies. In the last 10 days this is the second consecutive loss for Brazil soccer team.

The game

Even though Brazil had an extra player through the whole second half, it wasn’t enough to score against Paraguay. The Seleção Canarinho didn’t play good and lost again. With the loss, Brazil went to 4th in the Conmebol qualifies while Paraguay leads with 13 points out of 15 disputed in this year qualifies.

Roque Santa Cruz and Salvador Cabañas were the ones who scored against Brazil in the match. They’re very known for Brazil players, specially Salvador which has been a threat to Brazilian clubs at Libertadores da America Cup.

In the next match, Brazil will face Argentina at Mineirao Stadium in Belo Horizonte, MG. Argentina has 10 points in the qualifies after tie 1 to 1 against Equador today.

Hope

In the eighteen FIFA World Cup tournaments held, only seven nations have won the title. Brazil is the most successful World Cup team, having won the tournament five times.

With five titles, Brazil is the most successful World Cup team and also the only nation to have participated in every World Cup tournament to date.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup will be hosted by Brazil, the first held in South America since 1978, and will be the first occasion where consecutive World Cups are held outside Europe.
