The King or The King Roberto is a title gave to Roberto Carlos for his career and to be the best Brazilian singer of all time; this title was created after Elvis Presley a big idol of Roberto Carlos.

Roberto Carlos has sold over 100 million albums around the world, making him one of the best selling Latin American artists. In 1989, he became one of the only Brazilians ever to win a Grammy Award in the category of Best Latin Pop Album with Roberto Carlos / Tolo.

Roberto Carlos also started to record in English and French (he had already recorded albums in Spanish, Italian, and, naturally, Portuguese). His latest album is Duetos released in 2006.
