The Copacabana beach, in the South Zone of Rio, has an audience estimated at 2 million people to celebrate the arrival of 2009. The fireworks of about 24 tons of fireworks, inspired by the “four elements of nature,” the earth, fire, water and air, tourists and joy, lasted just over 20 minutes, because of a problem the ferry that was next to the pier 4.
Some transatlantic had permission to watch the fireworks show very close to the eight ferries throughout the sea of Copacabana.
After the turn, the public auction to the sand and sidewalk early accompanying the concerts of Revelation, Mart’nália. To ensure safety, the military police increased by 42% the effective in comparison to last year and towers used to monitor the movement.

Very awesome, fantastic fireworks and good people. Nothing is impossible if everybody cooperates. This celebration will never be a success if not because of the oneness in hearts and mind of all the participants.
